Treaties- A formal agreement between two or more countries
Executive Agreements- Pacts between the President and the heads of foreign countries
Recognition- Acknowledging the legal existence of a country and its government

The War Powers Resolution (1973)
President can commit troops in a non-combat role for 48 hours, then he must notify Congress

10. What are the President’s judicial powers?
Reprieve - to delay the impending punishment or sentence
Pardon - the forgiveness of a crime and the cancellation of the relevant penalty
Commutation - the reduction of legal penalties, especially in terms of imprisonment
Amnesty - allows the government of a nation or state to "forget" criminal acts, usually before prosecution has occurred.
