II.12 Information and Communication (Annex II General Conditions) “The beneficiaries shall take appropriate measures to engage with the public and the media about the project and to highlight the financial support of the Union” The Commission is authorised to publish information on the project. II.30 Dissemination Each beneficiary shall ensure that their foreground is disseminated. If it fails to do so, the Commission may disseminate that foreground. Any dissemination activity shall be reported in the plan for the use and dissemination of foreground (Part B of Annex I to the Grant agreement). Publications on foreground to be provided within two months 17/02/2019

Special Clause 29 Access Rights to Foreground for Policy Purposes and transfer of ownership of foreground (specific to environment research) Protocols and plans for data collection and storage to be in line with EU Data Policy EU Institutions and Bodies have royalty-free access to foreground for the purpose of developing, implementing and monitoring environmental policies. Commission may request transfer of ownership of unused foreground to the EU 17/02/2019

Special Clause 39 Open Access (specific to 7 thematic areas, including Environment) Projects are expected to deposit peer-reviewed research articles or final manuscripts resulting from their FP7 projects into an online repository; make their best effort to ensure open access to these articles within 6 months Guide to IPR for FP7 Section 7.3.
