Prepositions Preposition: a word that tells about a noun. A preposition is always part of a phrase. Examples: in, of , to, on , about, below, above, like, from, without, by, off, near, with.

Some people have depicted insects in art. Beetle images decorate the jewelry of many cultures. Some believed that dreams come from a butterfly. Ants share food between two nestmates. Ants share food among all the colony members.
