What is a research question?
It guides your research once you have decided on your HiA theme and topic Example: Theme 1 Networks of Life; topic- endangered species Note: the goal is one theme, one topic, and one research question, but you likely won’t start with that

A Good Research Question
Is appropriately complex Has more than one possible answer Cannot be answered with a yes or no Defines specific parameters of inquiry Does not favor a particular answer/ is not biased

PICO Method This method is best if you want your question to involve whether a solution will have the effect you want. Population- addressing a specific population, its important characteristics and demographic information. Intervention- the intervention can be a treatment, procedure, diagnostic test, and risk or prognostic factors. Comparison- when a new therapy is compared with the existing one. Outcome- is the effect of the intervention.
