3. Schedules Last day to change classes Sept 8th
If you requested the class you will have to keep it! We can discuss changes for next semester
If you complete a class before October Break you can add another class
If you plan to graduate this semester, you and your parent must meet with me to develop a plan and fill out Early Grad paperwork

4. Senior meetings
You will go online to the North Star Counseling website: and schedule a 30 minute meeting to see me. Please be sure to include your parent
Senior meetings are required
We will review Grad Plan, diploma track and post secondary plans

5. SAT & ACT registration ACT & SAT handout Fee waivers limited: see me
Must have scores for most 4 year colleges
Required at UNR for placement into college level Math and English (see handout)

6. College, Military or Trades?
You have a lot of options: do your research: see me for more info
High demand for Tech based careers
Panasonic: Need to be 18 with a diploma: Contact Lauren Garfinkel
High Demand for Electricians, Carpenters/Construction, Plumbers and HVAC

10. Financial Aide FAFSA: Free Application For Federal Student Aid
Get on it! You can fill it out starting October 1st for next fall
North Star will be holding a FAFSA application workshop in October
UNR deadline for Scholarships???
Go to FAFSA.gov
Beware any other FAFSA sites as they typically charge fees
Most scholarships require you to fill out the FAFSA
