5. 10 Ways to have a successful year
1. Learn self-advocacy --> begin to know yourself and start to speak for yourself.
2. Explore learning strategies that work well for you!
3. Use a planner/organizer. SET REMINDERS!
4. Become familiar with computer basics: create and save documents, organizing folders, googledocs, Sapphire Portal, and using your student account.
5. Ask questions... then follow through with the directions given.
6. Listen to announcements so that you do not miss forms, deadlines, and important dates!
7. Use your school and sign up for Remind! It is a great way to stay connected to teachers and peers and can be accessed outside of school.
8. Make appointments with teachers, counselors, and principals. Make sure to show up on time or cancel the appointment.
9. STUDY!!! Use the resources provided: teacher tutoring, peer tutoring, open library times, computers, flashcards, quizlets, schoology!
10. Accept responsibility for your own success!

Includes students who have an F in any core subject
Lists sent to teachers on Friday
Students on the list will not be permitted to leave the classroom for any reason (bathroom, clubs, events, Trojan Coffee Shop, water) beginning the following Monday until the grade is improved to at least a D
