Elements of Design Color Line Shape Space Texture
These attributes help define how the garment will look.

LINE Horizontal – makes you look shorter and wider
Vertical – more slender and taller Diagonal – adds the most interest (zig zag)

Curved Line Looks more feminine

SHAPE The silhouette of the garment – the outline
Full – larger/heavier Tubular – taller/thinner Bell – looks good on most

TEXTURE Looks Thinner: smooth flat textures
Looks Heavier: fuzzy, loopy, stiff, clingy, shiny No Effect: dull surfaces
