18 Turning Scholarships Into An Incentive That Builds College-Going Culture

19 “Levels the college playing field and paying field”
A New Approach: Micro-Scholarships $$$ YES High School Career $ Apply Accept $1,200 “A” in Calculus $5,000 1450 on SATs $250 Soccer Captain $50 Campus Visit Question...what if students could EARN EARLIER? What if they could earn as early as 9th grade? We’d use the same scholarship dollars. For students who have not successfully navigated high school, they may change behavior to do better in school earlier one. Thus resulting in thousands more students motivated and on track to go to college in the first place. We work with all types of high school students from every state, race, income level, type of high school… All high schools students can create a profile Students list all of their achievements - in and out of the classroom - as they progress they earn for their individual achievements With colleges - current financial aid frameworks can reward achievements they want to see in the students that they want to enroll This is the concept of a “micro-scholarship” “Levels the college playing field and paying field”

20 Need to give access to the right institution for them
Current Texas Partners When it comes to doing this effectively, it requires providing students with a goal…and that’s college Need to give access to the right institution for them Our goal is that every student using RaiseMe sees an institution they are excited about This requires having a focus on diversity of institution - type, size, location, specialty, etc So when we take all of this together we can impact student behavior and outcomes And we are seeing this …
