1. Latitude -Low latitudes (between 30 degrees N and 30 degrees S). Warm to hot year round -High latitudes (60 degrees N or S on to the poles). Tend to stay cold even in summer. -Midlatitudes (30-60 degrees). Big changes in weather with the seasons.

Latitude Elevation- Thinner air retains less heat. Temps decrease by about 3.5 degrees per 1,000 ft. in increased elevation.
