MLA Format: Modern Language Association MLA Format requires 5-12 sentences for a paragraph

4 1= The number one stands for your thesis or topic sentence
Thesis: The main idea of your essay or paragraph EX: “One Direction is the greatest singing group ever!” Or “One Direction is the worst singing group ever!”

5 2= Both number two’s stand for detailed sentences that support your thesis
4= The number four stands for your closing or concluding sentence

6 I like cats for two reasons. The first reason is cats are soft and cuddly. 2 The second reason is they are playful. 4 That is why I like cats.
