5. Factory farming
This course made me think more about where food comes from
I learned how factory farmers don’t want you to know what happens on their farm. This is very interesting to me
It is smart business, but harmful to the animals and harmful to the people who eat the meat.

6. Sustainable farming
The animals are better treated and they get to roam around.
They may not be as big, but they are healthy.

7. Sustainable farming is more labor intensive and hands on
They don’t use big machinery or chemical fertilizer
Do not use growth hormones

8. My view from what I learned
Sustainable farming is the traditional way of farming
The meat is more expensive to buy because less meat is produced
I would buy organic even though it is more expensive because the meat is healthier and the animals get treated better
The downside of traditional farming is that there would not be enough food produced for every one to eat

10. Plants have many cures for diseases
In the olden days people would only have the forest and the plants to depend on. If we went back to the old ways, we might be healthier

11. I can explain why plants are important
Without plants all things on the earth wouldn’t function
We need plants for oxygen, food, shelter, gas, heat/fuel, clothing, and medicine
Plants do more for us than we realize
The fruits are good for us but the plants need the fruit to protect the seeds and to be dispersed to different areas

I like blogging and using things like Doceri because it is a creative way of learning
You can instantly put your thought down using pictures and drawings and let people know what you are learning
It also provides people with information they need to know
Your learning helps people learn along with you

14. Challenges/independence
By using blogging and Doceri, I learned cool and fun ways to use technology that I may not have known before
I overcame challenges that I have struggled with using technology before
Doceri has helped me to become more independent

15. This course was my favorite this year
This course was my favorite this year. I like learning about growing different plants and how they affect us and the earth. It also gave my ideas of what I can do in the future….like being a florist
Overall I enjoyed This call very much] I learned Something new Everyday!!!
