Whole wheat scones. 75g Whole wheat flour Self raising flour 1tsp
baking powder ½ teaspoon Ground cinnamon 25g Brown sugar Margarine|(at room temperature) 40g Dried fruit 1 egg 2-2 ½ tablsp Milk PRE- HEAT OVEN to Mark 8 230 C Grease a baking sheet Sift the flours into a bowl and then tip the bran left in the sieve from the whole wheat flour into the bowl as well Add the baking powder, cinnamon and sugar Rub in the margarine Add the fruit Beat the egg with 2 tablespoons of milk and mix in using a pallet knife (add more milk if needed to make a dough) Handle carefully, Roll out to 2cm thick and cut out Place on baking sheet, brush top with milk and dust with flour Bake on top shelf for minutes
