On Friday’s MA daytime students may wear jeans with their favorite scrub top for $1.00 Thursday’s Massage students and MA evening students may wear jeans with their favorite scrub top for $1.00 (Proceeds benefit emergency student fund) Dress Code

8 Professional Performance
Standards Requirements (PPS) Learn not only academics but how to be professional. PPS is extremely important, it’s a major part of your grade. The PPS could be worth up to 25% of the course grade and includes: Dependability (attendance) Responsibility (assignments) Conduct (cell phone usage) Communication (working well with others) Class preparation (bringing materials) Appearance (follow dress code policy) Professionalism

9 Attendance Major part of PPS.
All absent time, including late arrivals and early departures, regardless of reason, is recorded and becomes part of the student record. Miss too many days - Get behind and can’t catch up. 5% absences per program = Attendance Advisement 10% absences per program = Attendance Probation 15% absences per program = Final Notice (could result in termination) 10 consecutive absences will result in Termination from school Attendance

10 Must maintain 77% average
B • 85-92 C • 77-84 F • Below 77 If absent on the day of an exam, the exam will be reduced by 10%. A final can not be retaken, the grade received is the grade earned. Tutoring is always available FA suspended if GPA falls below a 2.0 Academic Advisement Academic Probation for one sequence, if GPA is not increased the student could be terminated. Termination for unsatisfactory academic progress. Grades A+

11 Graduation Graduation Date – Date your clinical hours are complete.
Graduation Ceremony (Cap & Gown) First Ceremony after completion of clinical hours and exit you must complete all requirements two weeks prior to Graduation Ceremony Date. Two Graduation Ceremonies per year.

12 ! Safety No Children in classrooms.
Visitors must check in at front desk. Do not keep doors open, especially after dark. Evening students, always go out in pairs. Minimum crime in area, but always be cautious. Emergency phone number is !

Escorted to Classroom. Bring Pencil/Pen Notepad/Highlighter. First Day of School

14 Miscellaneous Parking • Cars will be towed if not in student parking.
Insurance • Up to $500 per student. Smoking • Non-smoking campus. Visitors • Must check in at front desk & get visitor badge. Phone/Fax • For emergency use only. Snow • If inclement weather requires a decision on a delay or cancellation the information will be posted on KOBTV (4) and KOAT (7).
