In an increasingly digitized world, organizations have identified a need to:
collaborate in sharing data within (or across) their organization and with other external organizations;
manage rising expectations for privacy and confidentiality;
address concerns related to security, intellectual property and selection of standards when sharing data.

Educational data: application rates, specialty choice, eligibility for USMLE, training requirements, assessment tools.
Performance data: MCAT scores, formative and summative assessments measures, clinical outcomes data.
Systems or Professional Practice data: scope of practice or practice mix, engagement in CPD activities; quality improvement and safety initiatives
