5 I have absolutely no idea what he means by ‘average kinetic energy of molecules’, but I will write it down in my notes all the same….. I really wish we could play a game to help me understand.

15 Specific Heat Capacity ~ like “thermal inertia”; an objects resistance to change in temperature (subjective) Quantity of heat necessary to raise the temperature of a unit mass by 1 degree (objective) Example: silver: 235 J/kg K water 4180 J/kg K So, water has a higher specific heat than silver . . . but what does that mean?
