1 A.D. – “In the year of our Lord”
We will Glorify the A.D. – “In the year of our Lord” Every year we live should be counted as “the year of our Lord” (Anno Domini, AD), because we are living to glorify the King, both now and forever.

2 Glorifying the King in the time to Come
Next year will only be better and we will only do better if the Lord is with us: We should not plan our futures without Him first in mind! (James 4:13-15) He has the power to determine the future! (Isaiah 46:9-10) We must move into the future with hearts full of humility and contrition before the One who inhabits eternity! (Isaiah 57:15)

3 A.D. and B.C. A.D. stands for “Anno Domini”
Latin for “in the year of our Lord” This way of attempting to number years from the birth of Christ was popularized by Dionysius Exiguus in the 6th century A.D. B.C. stands for “Before Christ” This method of numbering years before the birth of Christ was introduced by Bede in the 8th century.

4 Glorifying the King of Kings In the Past and in the Future
Philippians 1 Paul and the Philippians had shared together in the proclamation of the gospel (1:3-7) Paul’s hope for the Philippians’ future is that they will bear fruit to the glory of God! (1:8-11) The things that had happened to Paul had turned out for the furtherance of the gospel (1:12-17; 4:22) Whatever might happen in the future, Paul was determined to glorify Christ! (1:18-21)

5 Glorify the King of Kings!
Now and Forever! “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.” – 2 Peter 3:18   “To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.” – Jude 25
