8. WHAT IS COLLEGE CORNER? Located in the Lamar Library
Lamar College Advisors are available to help with college applications/Naviance M-F during school hours, including lunch, and before or after school by appointment.
Please do not your Academic Advisor asking for help with Naviance. Your AA’s only roles in college application, are to:
give this initial Naviance college application tutorial
write your recommendation letter (written evaluation) and
forward what your have entered in Naviance that can be sent electronically

9. IMPORTANT NOTE:
You are expected to complete all of your college applications/Naviance requests during the 1st semester of your senior year. Advisors troll Naviance to locate and process student requests during the fall semester ONLY.
If, some EXTRAORDINARY circumstance causes you to apply or add schools to your Common Ap/Naviance in the 2nd semester of your senior year, you MUST your Advisor and tell her that you have made a request in Naviance. No Naviance request will be processed during the Spring semester of your senior year unless you your Advisor and tell her you have added Naviance request(s) that need to be processed.

Failed advanced academic courses no longer qualify for credit recovery
Must enroll in grad lab original credit class
Must receive credit for English 1,2,and 3 (both semesters) prior to first day of senior year or you CANNOT ENROLL IN English 4
Will enroll in GL for English 4A in spring while enrolled in 4B classroom setting

(designated day) during Schedule Change Week before school starts
No schedule changes after 1st day of school.
No schedule changes mid year.
If you want a course change in B semester, SCHEDULE IT NOW!
Cannot drop class mid year – even if you don’t “need” it to graduate.
Parent meeting Feb. 5th at 6pm and again Feb. 7th at 6pm in the Cafeteria.
We will go over this same information for parents.
Advisors are available to meet individually with parents after Spring Break.
Please ask your parents to attend one of the Parent Meetings as all of this information will be discussed at those meetings and Advisors will be available to take questions at that time.
