3
Important Findings
4
Educational Attainment
5
Household Types
6
Job status?
7
Single Variable Analysis
8
Graphical Representation
9
OUTLIERS?
10
Single Variable Conclusion
The majority of the countries have 10% of their population with internet access. Higher percentages like 60% were the United States, United Kingdom, etc. Developing Countries vs. Industrialized Countries
11
Double Variable Analysis
12
Is there a trend between population & the countries internet access?
Exploring further… Is there a trend between population & the countries internet access?
13
A Definite Trend All of these countries (22) had an internet use per capita Below .1 (Under 10%) -Over population & more poverty
14
Over .25 (25%) -All of these countries (23) had a per capita of over .25%. -Canada (4th point)
15
In order to access the internet…
You need a computer!
16
GDP & Internet Use per Capita
17
How do most people connect?
18
More $$$, More Access
19
DISTRIBUTIONS
20
Age Vs. Internet Access
21
More Distributions: Asians and Hispanics had the highest amount of Internet use from the ages of
22
Whites have the most percentage users over the age of 35.
23
Percentage of Visitors- Male Or Female?
24
Checks: Must have an “S” shape
25
Both male & female form a straight line
A Normal Quartile Plot shows the distribution continuous (numeric) data. It plots the z-scores associated with the percentile of each case if the data were normally distributed. Therefore, if the data are Normal, the plot should show a straight line Both male & female form a straight line
26
One, Two, Three Standard deviations away…
Male 1 std-dev: 69% 2 std-dev: 96% 3 std-dev: 100% Females 1 std-dev: 67% 2 std-dev: 96% 3 std-dev: 100% Therefore both data sets represent the normal distribution.
27
CONCLUDING FINDINGS Who makes the internet popular? What are some characteristics? High education level Family Households (2-4 people) Employed High GDP (Industrialized Countries)
28
Let’s be precise… Computer access= internet access
