1 Go to to register your access code, Click on “new user” (unless the prof did an import and has created userid and passwords for them Remind students that this is all in the user guide booklet that comes with the access code.

2 Get from your prof From your access code In your text package
In the last name field, Be sure to write your student number too Ex. lasswell Get from your prof 1)The students will have to fill in the spaces if the prof has not imported the students. 2)It is VERY important to have the students write their student numbers in the last name field otherwise if there are 2 John smiths in the class section, the prof will not be able to tell them apart. 3)Userid must be unique across all of TAIT users in North America. I suggest that you meet with the prof prior and discuss a set formula. Ex . The school’s initials and then the student’s student number. Therefore a Humber college student with the student # would have a userid of HC From your access code In your text package

4 A confirmation page will show up for the students
A confirmation page will show up for the students. Have them check to make sure that their info is correct and print it then click register

5 Green Flashing arrow Once they click register, they will be taken right into the course. The user guide will be there elctronically so that they can read it if they need some information on how to use TAIT. There will also be a green flashing arrow where they will click on “My courses”

6 Once they click on the “my courses” they will be able to see the course that they are enrolled in. In this case, the student is enrolled in Computers 101 They then need to click on Computers And it is at that point that they will see any assigned quizzes/testing. Make note that the prof may send them mail and it is at this page where they will see it (it currently says 0 unread= meaning I have no mail)

7 Speed & Crash Recovery If you decide to do any work on your personal computer, for increased speed you must install the Partial Local Install onto your computer. Please follow the instructions in your user guide.
