Project coordinators should call in before heading to project sites “Lost” volunteers can call and get directions Command center should have information on every project, a city map, and a few “stand by” volunteers Day of Service Attendance Form

17 The “After Party” The Planning & Logistics committee is responsible for planning the Day of Service celebration Responsibilities include banners, staging, contingency plans, parking & security, food & beverage, facilities, emergency plans

18 Point of Entry Days of Service can provide a pathway to future volunteering with your organization The Planning & Logistics committee ensures that “point of entry” components are incorporated throughout the event

Form small groups of 4-5 people Each person assumes a role for a mock Day of Service Team leaders lead “huddles” to pump up volunteer leaders and go through the day When given a scenario, your team should determine how to handle it
