Planning & Logistics: The Timeline
This committee creates a master timeline Gives other committees deadlines and reporting deadlines Ensuring each group is meeting its goals Helping direct resources to areas that are lagging

Day of Event Command Center
Project coordinators should call in before heading to project sites “Lost” volunteers can call and get directions Command center should have information on every project, a city map, and a few “stand by” volunteers Day of Service Attendance Form

The “After Party” The Planning & Logistics committee is responsible for planning the Day of Service celebration Responsibilities include banners, staging, contingency plans, parking & security, food & beverage, facilities, emergency plans

Point of Entry Days of Service can provide a pathway to future volunteering with your organization The Planning & Logistics committee ensures that “point of entry” components are incorporated throughout the event

Form small groups of 4-5 people Each person assumes a role for a mock Day of Service Team leaders lead “huddles” to pump up volunteer leaders and go through the day When given a scenario, your team should determine how to handle it
