Family - Your family members are an obvious choice, particularly because they may have been your main source of information throughout life Friends – Your friends will have had different life experiences from you, have different families and may have read information that you haven’t and may know things that you don’t School – Your teachers can provide you with answers to questions you may have about health and physical activity. Other places within the school may include the library, school counsellor, student advisor and guest speakers Internet – the internet has enormous amounts of information. It is important to know how to find the information, products or services you are looking for. The best way is to use a search engine. Remember not all information is accurate. Media – You need to carefully consider the information presented in the media. The techniques used to market or sell the products can be misleading in regards to their real health benefits General Practitioner (GP) – They can answer your questions about health concerns, provide you with accurate information about health products and direct you to services that will best meet your health care needs.
