1 Title IX Training Rollout SoE
January 18, 2018

2 The Overall Plan Rollout of the Title IX training has begun
This week with the Senior Leadership Team. Marty will communicate with faculty at the end of the month. For the rest of the community, Lorraine will share information about the training and a phased rollout schedule for staff to complete it. Phasing the invitation to complete the training is planned in order to ease the burden on the training systems and on the staff who are involved with the implementation and/or follow-up.  Each employee will be asked to complete the training within 31 days of his/her phased invitation. All MIT employees (including those that recently completed prior Title IX training) are expected to complete the new training.

3 Faculty Rollout Marty plans to communicate with Assistant, Associate and full Professors, as well as Adjunct Professors, Professors of the Practice, and Professors Post-Tenure Details on how to access the training will be provided in the communication. Deans and many Department Heads have already taken the training. Once an individual receives the invitation to complete the training, A link will be activated for him/her in the Learning Center. His/her name will be added to a training completion status report. Midway through the 31-day period, we may send a reminder to all faculty who have not completed the training.

4 Preparing for the Faculty Rollout
Lorraine will be in touch with HR Primary Contacts (and other designees) to describe the communication and follow up process. Provide an opportunity to access the course prior to the faculty rollout Additional guidelines for the rollout in his/her area We plan to assist departments throughout the follow up processes Initiating communications and follow up reminders Running reports on training status A point of contact to answer general questions about the training and/or help share best practices – no need to reinvent processes in every DLC The Title IX Office, as always, is available to answer any questions. They are preparing an executive summary of the key learnings from the training.
