3. The Aryan Culture
A new group called the Aryans migrated, or moved, from their home in central Asia into India.
Local Indian cultures mixed with the Aryan culture- and a new culture was created.
The Aryans helped make Indian culture what it is today.

Next, brainstorm with your group other possible effects of two cultures mixing.
You can use ideas from your own experiences or other social studies subjects.
How could cultural mixing be viewed as positive?  Negative? 

Focus on the effects of the Aryan migration.
Using what you learned from the textbook, list the effects from the Aryans mixing with Indian culture.

5. Effects of Aryan migration
Aryans used horse-drawn chariots to overwhelm the Indians and spread their culture.
The Indians adopted parts of the Aryan language and beliefs.
A new culture developed that combined traditions, ideas, and beliefs of the Indians with the Aryans.
Eventually, these people learned how to make iron tools and weapons
