Leading a soul to Christ
BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH by Dick Proctor
2
Life's Most Important Question
If you were to die today, and were to stand before God, and He should ask you why He should let you into His Heaven, what would you say?
3
Important Questions Questions make people think without being Biblical or theological. Questions make people think about their eternal destiny. Questions concerning standing before God should make people very serious/ sober thinking is what were looking for. Most people will answer with some form of good works without regard for perfection.
4
2nd Important Question – three “I”s
May I share how I KNOW I have eternal life? This question is not pushy or preaching at first look. Most people agree. Their interested besides you asked permission to share your testimony, that’s ok. 1st. Jn. 5:13 has the answer. Make sure to emphasize you can Know Before we get started do you mind answering one question?
5
This is when to ask this question.
2 This is when to ask this question. If you were to die today, and were to stand before God, and He should ask you why He should let you into His Heaven, what would you say?

Heaven is the ultimate free gift
the free gift came upon all, Rom. 5;15-18 the gift of righteousness Rom. 5:17 the gift of God is eternal life, Rom, 6;23 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8

The free gift of God Jn. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Rom. 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

2.a Heaven can not be earned
Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. Grace refers to what God gives you which you do not deserve. When a gift is earned it is not a gift
9
2.B You do not deserve it Heaven cannot be deserved
Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom.3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
10
Man cannot save himself
Not by mostly good James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; This beautiful casserole has only one bad egg, is it still good?

3. There is a penalty for sin I came to understand the Bible has consequences for sin
Rom.6:23 For the wages of sin is death, Rom. 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Isaiah53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Christ)
12
4. Jesus is our only way God has provided a way for us
John 14:6 Jesus saith … I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. This verse is a key to the puzzle. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13
True Biblical FAITH is the answer to the puzzle
Rom. 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 1Pet. 3:18a For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God 1Pet 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. My faith and trust is in Christ's work on the cross
14
Personal faith in Christ’s work
James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Jn. 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, Rom. 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
15
Your 3rd and last question?
Can You think of any reason why you would not invite Christ into your life right now? Rom. 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, (that God accepts the sacrifice He paid for your sins) thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Would You like to become a child of God right now?
16
Pray now Dear God, I freely admit I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe Jesus is the son of God and that he died for my sins and rose again from the dead. I now put my complete trust in Him alone for eternal life.
