1 THE GOOD AND BAD OF MAKERERE UNIVERSITY(MUK) (MUK) is Uganda's largest and third-oldest institution of higher learning, first established as a technical school in 1922 It is the largest and most prestigious institution of higher learning in Uganda. It offers degree, post degree and doctoral programs. It is also commonly called the Harvard of Africa.

2 GOOD THINGS THE LIBRARY
It was constructed in 1959 with a total area of 4,000 square meters and was extended in 1962, 1972 and the extensions increased the area to 12,000 square meters with a seating capacity of over 2,800. the main library currently has nine sections namely: technical services, periodicals/serials, reference and circulation (including the law collection and IDA/basic textbook reserve collection), Africana section, information and communication technology (ICT), microfilming and digitization, book bank and bindery. The library collection consists of over 600,000 monographs with an annual addition of about 2,500 print books and 100 electronic books excluding donations and exchange, over 12,000 titles of bound Serials/ Periodicals and an annual subscription of about 200 titles of print Serials/ Periodicals and over 27,000 titles of electronic journals. There is a Book Bank System that came into existence in It comprises basic prescribed text books which are kept and accessed from the academic departments. Currently, the Book Bank collection has over 250,000 copies of book. This has enabled students to access all information needed for good performance It is one of the most visited places at the university especially during examination period.

5 PLACES OF WORSHIP The university has so many places of worship which implies that the institution welcomes students from any religious denomination. These include st Francis, st SAugustine, the mosque, Makerere Christian center among so many others.

6 Sports grounds at Makerere university number of recreation and sports activities at the University. The Department of Sports and Recreation offers welfare and sports skills services to the students through a comprehensive, dynamic and exciting Inter-Hall Sports Championships scheduled to take place during the First Semester. These include swimming, basket ball among many others.

8 FREEDOM SQUARE provides a good ambiance and are for discussion and function. At least every student at the university has visited this place.

9 GOOD LEARNING FACILITIES
The university has learning facilities, well built to enable students have lectures without any interference. It is also equipped with different experienced and skilled lecturers. Below is a group photo of some of the lecturers at the university.

10 ACCOMODATION There are various halls of residence for the students at he university for both males and females. Among these include; Lumumba Mary Stuart

11 BAD THINGS AT MUK UNENDING STRIKES
Makerere University students are always engaged in running battles with Police on the university campus. Police fire teargas and live bullets to try and disperse the students who are always attempting to stage marches.

12 DIRTY TOILETS

13 POOR SUPPORTING STAFF This frustrates the way leadership at Makerere university.

14 BAD ROADS many roads are in a very sorry state especially the road bettween mary stuart and lumumba

15 POOR GABAGE DISPOSAL makerere community disposes garbage by the roadside
