2 Fig 1 A standard arthroscopic interportal capsulotomy is performed above the zona orbicularis to avoid injury to the lateral femoral circumflex artery. This is extended with a vertical limb to provide access to the central compartment. 3 Fig 2 Intracapsular atraumatic arthroscopic technique for closure of hip capsule. (A) The Spectrum suture passer is introduced through the lower limb, and (B) suture A is passed through. The suture is then retrieved through the anterior portal. (C) Another suture loop is passed through the superior limb by use of the Accu-Pass device, and this is used to retrieve suture A through the upper limb of the capsule. (D) The suture ends are tied to secure closure of the capsule. Arthroscopy Techniques 2014 3, e245-e247DOI: ( /j.eats ) Copyright © 2014 Arthroscopy Association of North America Terms and Conditions
