A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we will finish up addition and subtraction through 20 with our Unit 2 test. Then we will begin Unit 3 on Measurement and Data. This week students will work on identifying objects that are longer than/shorter than, matching up endpoints when measuring, and ordering lengths from shortest to longest.
-Writing time this week will be spent writing a narrative story. Students get to think of a time when they felt grown up to guide their story and include a beginning, middle, and end. This week students get to turn their stories into a book.
-Our Core Knowledge time will continue with Social Studies and the study of Early American Civilizations. This week we will be learning about the Aztecs.

-Tuesdays and Thursdays - math homework

-It is still very chilly in the mornings! Don’t forget to send your kiddo to school with winter wear: coats, hats, gloves, etc…
