EPILEPSY A brain disorder in which clusters of nerve cells, or neurons, in the brain sometimes signal abnormally. Affects approximately 1% of the world's population Seizures: -Brain & nerves stop working, body shuts down -Usually lasts for seconds, can last for minutes Does not affect intelligence, may slow learning process

AUTISM Evidenced in the first years of life
A brain disorder which limits one's ability to interact with others. Often alone in their own little world. Evidenced in the first years of life Doesn’t understand a lot of what’s going on around him Information the brain receives gets mixed up or ignored & their brain can’t understand the signals Repeating activities gives stimulation & comfort Do not react to things going on around them Can have incredible memories
