John 3: 1 – 8 (NLT) 1 There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. 2 After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” 3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,[a] you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
4
John 3: 1 – 8 (NLT) 4 “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” 5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
5
John 3: 1 – 8 (NLT) 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’. 8 The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”
6
John 3: 3 (NLT) 3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again,[a] you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
7
What does it really mean to be Born Again?
8
BORN AGAIN is not a religion, a name or a calling to a certain group BUT it’s an experience that took place or happened to a person who encountered JESUS CHRIST.
9
John 3: 4, 5, & 7 (NLT) 4 “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. “How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” 5 Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must be born again.’.

Ephesian 5:26 (NLT) John 15:3 (NLT)
26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. John 15:3 (NLT) 3 You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.
11
Titus 3: 4 – 6 (NLT) 4 But — When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
12
1 Peter 1: 23 – 25 (NLT) 23 For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. 24 As the Scriptures say, “People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. 25 But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you
13
Acts 4:12 (NLT) John 16: 8 (NLT)
8 And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. Acts 4:12 (NLT) 12 There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”
14
BORN AGAIN Means new birth, rebirth or reborn, regeneration.
It’s not a PHYSICAL experience BUT its SPIRITUAL – being born in the spirit.
15
Romans 5:12 (NLT) 1 Corinthians 15:21 -22 (NLT)
12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. 1 Corinthians 15: (NLT) 21 So you see, just as death came into the world through a man, now the resurrection from the dead has begun through another man. 22 Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life.
16
Being BORN AGAIN is living a new life in Christ!
17
CHRISTian – I am nothing without CHRIST.
18
2 Corinthian 6:14 (NLT) Psalms 5:1 (NLT)
14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? Psalms 5:1 (NLT) 1 O Lord hear me as I pray; pay attention to my groaning.
19
1 Peter 3:3 – 4 (NLT) 3 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.
20
Galatians 2: 21 (NLT) 21 I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.
21
Disqualifications: Galatians 5: 19 – 21 (NLT)
19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
22
Disqualifications: 2 Corinthians 6:9 – 10 (NLT)
9 We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. 10 Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
23
Romans 6:4 (NLT) 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism
Romans 6:4 (NLT) 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Ephesians 4:22 – 24 (NLT) 22 throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. 23 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. 24 Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.
