Poppy Wreaths created from peace pledge/prayer hearts How to: Order paper red hearts to be delivered to your church/community and distribute to those involved in the service Ask them to fill in their peace pledge Create a wreath by having a donut shaped mount and secure each heart on using a black pin to create the effect of a poppy Display in your church or hall for the remembrance service Willow Dove and Poppy Display How to: Distribute poppies amongst attendees and ask them to write what peace means to them or who they will be remembering Have the willow dove constructed at the side of the hall for people to admire throughout the service At a point in the service ask each section / school to come and place their poppies in the dove’s mouth to symbolise the peace being welcomed into the dove’s mouth Peace Leaf display (Live Art) How to Have your leaves distributed around your space where people will sit with a number of different coloured pens At one point in the service ask them to fill in their peace promise Get stewards to collect the promises periodically throughout the service and have stewards or an artist creating a leafy scene at the back of the event for people to go and admire at the end of the service. Luggage tag Spire How to Distribute luggage tags to various groups that you have invited to your event and ask them to fill in their remembrance for peace and peace is not history thoughts and feelings. Ask participants to write their peace pledge on the butterfly and return to you 3. Hole punch each butterfly in the centre and start to thread through chicken wire 4. Once all threaded together suspend from your church or community halls to create a canapé of peace pledges.
