Equipment Make sure your trucks are all in working order take time to preflight your equipment and insure there are no surprise.
Line/Structure Look over the line and structure. Are there any potential hazards? (Broken insulators, damaged wire, clearances over roads or from trees?)
Be aware of your work area, be sure to cover anything you can reach touch or fall into. And anything that can reach touch or fall into you!
Discuss all PPE needed for the job and wear your PPE. Be sure to inspect your equipment prior to use. Identify all voltages you are exposed to. Be sure to have all of your Arc-Flash protective gear on.
Identify a dedicated observer
Working in traffic exposes you to hazards that are difficult to control. Give the vehicles plenty of time to see and avoid you! Follow the manual of traffic control for your area.
Slips trips and falls are some of the most common injuries, look for hazards that could cause this. Be sure to inspect and wear your fall arrest harness.

8. Cover the neutral conductor.

9. Use a blanket to cover the neutral and its support.

15. Move back to the inside of the angle
Move back to the inside of the angle. Remove the blanket covering the bells and angle shoe. Move your jib into position to take the load off of the structure. Know the load of the conductor and the capacity of your equipment. Be certain not to overload your equipment.

16. Move the conductor up and out of the way

17. Remove the bad insulator. Be careful of any sharp edges.

23. Move back out and up. Remove the bell and angle shoe cover.

24. Remove the line cover-up.

25. Move back down and remove the hot tap holding up the guy wire cover.

26. Remove the cover-up from the guy wire.

27. Remove the blanket covering the neutral assembly.

28. Remove the neutral cover-up.

29. Reconnect the ground wire. And remove the truck bond.

30. The job is completed.
