Military Education NC Military Educational Positioning System: Explore, Navigate, Graduate With funding from the Aurora Foundation and other sources, UNC General Administration developed the NC Military Educational Positioning System (NC MEPS) An interactive, online resource to assist current and former service members and their families with college preparation and transition to post-graduate careers. Based on the Global Positioning System (GPS) concept, NC MEPS assists users in plotting a personalized course from application to graduation. The UNC Educational Positioning System (EPS)* is planned as an interactive online resource that will help active duty military personnel, reservists, veterans, and their immediate family members prepare for college and transition to post-graduate careers. The concept of UNC EPS plays on the idea of a Global Positioning System (GPS). A GPS can provide maps, directions, local attractions, turn-by-turn guidance, and similar features. Likewise, UNC EPS will function to assist the user in plotting a personalized course from matriculation to graduation. Support the service member. Contribute to the mission. Grow North Carolina's economy.
