Starter: Describing Scrooge
We’ve done this before, but let’s do an updated version... Compile a list of adjectives to describe Scrooge. With those words, devise an acrostic poem, using either SCROOGE or BAH HUMBUG

Lets have some volunteers share their poems...
For example.... Saucy old man, Cheap and petty, Rarely caring for anyone but himself. Others are not Of his concern, Generosity has no place in him. Everyone should pity this old man... Lets have some volunteers share their poems...

Playing Detective You may or may not have an idea of who the dead man is; however, we must use our critical reading skills to determine the identity of the dead man. Find clues to help prove who the dead man is, using the text. Write down quotes, and then briefly explain what this tells the reader about the dead man.

Continue reading... Follow along, as we continue reading to the end of Stave Four. After reading, write a diary entry as Scrooge, reflecting on how much he feels changed by the experiences of the past few nights.
