Student access on Schoology E-Learning Day Information Questions about the E-learning Day *If you would like additional information about Schoology and creating a parent account, you are welcome to stay for part 2. 2 Student Access to Schoology
Go to avon.schoology.com The username and password is your child’s Avon number. Short video on the process for students to log into Schoology:

3 E-Learning Day Information
What can I expect on a Virtual Day? Teachers will have all learning activities posted to Schoology no later than two hours after the normal school start time.  Look for the folder in Schoology named "Virtual Day" During the day teachers will have 90 minutes of live online office hours. Students/Parents are encouraged to ask their questions for their teachers using the Schoology Messaging feature.  All student questions submitted by 3:30 have a response by 4pm  Virtual classwork fits within the current unit of study Assignments will be roughly equivalent to school "seat-time" Students will have 5 days, beginning upon their return to school, to complete work in the event they are unable to finish during the virtual day due to service outage or other inability to access learning materials.  A hotline is open on Virtual Days to assist with technical questions you may have.  Dial

6 Accessing Courses Next to your Home Tab is the Courses Tab. Click on it Here you see a drop down list of all the courses you are currently in. You can click on any course to find out information. Short Video on accessing courses: Information taken from Schoology and Liz Weinstein.

7 Notifications On the same line as the Home, Courses, Groups & Resources tabs to the right are the Message, Friend and Notifications Icons. These will let you know when there is something new. Information taken from Schoology and Liz Weinstein.

8 Messaging Click on Messages
This is where you can send teachers messages and receive messages To send a message click on New Messages Information taken from Schoology and Liz Weinstein.

9 Messaging A new window will pop up.
In the To: box, start typing the teachers name and names will start to appear. Information taken from Schoology and Liz Weinstein.

10 Messaging Teachers Have a question about an assignment when you're at home? You can message your teacher for help. Click on the teachers name  Type in a Subject Topic Start typing a message.  Information taken from Schoology and Liz Weinstein.
