Timeline of Upcoming Events…
Cambridge HS 1/17/2019- Rising 9th Grade Family Night. 1/31/2019- Special Programs Night 2/20/19- 8th Grade Visit to CHS 1st Course Verification sheets will be handed out on January 29th. Alpharetta HS 2/12/2019- Middle School to High School Transition Night for 8th Grade Parents (Bring your student’s Course Request Verification Form). 2/20/19- 8th Grade Visit to AHS 1st Course Verification sheets will be handed out on February 5rd. Timelines for course verifications for AHS and CHS will be listed on the HMS Counseling Website.

Course Verification Forms
**Please read the directions on the form very carefully! When you complete the form, you should have a total of 6.0 CREDITS. Remember that a yearlong course is 1.0 unit of credit while a semester-long course is 0.5 units of credit. If you have 6.0 CREDITS shown on your form and you do not wish to change anything, student and parent must sign the form and return it to middle school by the deadline. If you DO NOT HAVE 6.0 CREDITS, please select appropriate courses and enter them in the table on the course verification form. If you have more than 6.0 CREDITS, draw a line through the course(s) you wish to drop. If you wish to WAIVER into a course that you were NOT recommended for and did not meet the GRADE requirements for, draw a line through the recommended course and/or add the course you wish to waiver into on the table. Please consider this decision carefully. Speak with your teachers, your school counselor, and your parents.

(schedule may vary based on each high school) *Progress Report every 6 weeks *Final grades posted at the conclusion of each semester *Yearlong Course = 1.0 credits *One Semester Course = .5 credits *Grading Scale: A (90-100) B (80-89) C (70-79) *7 additional points are added to a final grade higher than 70 in approved Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses
