4. Respirometers
Respirometers are devices used to measure the rate of respiration of a living organism under specific conditions
Many variables have to be controlled whilst carrying out these experiments
A control experiment must also be set up to show the effect of the variable being investigated

- what the respirometer is measuring
- what results you would expect to see
