1 Proposed new classes of dirt track oval racing
Dirt track racing is not keeping up with modern cars or technology

2 What is wrong with current racing classes?
Most are written around year old cars, making them increasingly rare as well as more costly. The cheap, used, mid size, family car is now FWD, computer controlled, and fuel injected – all typically illegal in mainstream racing. The new economy class is the FWD - 4 cylinder cars known as Sport Compacts, Hornets, Gen-X, Mini Stock, and several other names. These classes do not allow suspension and engine modifications. A key interest to racers is to modify and improve their cars. And almost nothing from these cars will carry over to the next class up, both driving style and parts are too different.

3 What is needed? We need to provide a new economy class like a bomber, a mid size – V6 powered class, where modifications are limited. There should create several new FWD 4 cylinder classes - stock, modified, turbo charged/supercharged/nitrous oxide (power adders) classes. The same basic chassis should be legal in all classes. This allows for progression without major changes in equipment or driving style. AWD stock, modified, and power adder classes also need to be created. Turbo AWD cars could be the new main event. A new modified or late model design, maybe using a FWD engine/transmission in the rear of a stick built car.
