Maine Coons love to chase stuff, run around, and be active. Farmers love them because their all-star rat catchers! *Important*: if you don’t want a cat running around all the time, don’t choose the Maine Coon because they are *not* lazy at all.

The first published Maine Coon was a cat named “Captain Jenks of The Horse Marines”. In 1895, a female Maine Coon named Molly Bond was named best cat in Madison square garden.

Maine Coons are the biggest cat breed , having big bones and being muscular. Maine Coons can be up to 18 pounds, 40 inches, and having 70 different color combos. They are also called the American Longhair.

More Maine coon facts Mine Coons don’t typically “meow”; they chirp and trill( like a combo of meow and purr). Unlike mot cats, Maine Coons love water. They have water-resistant coats and are pretty efficient swimmers. Most Maine Coons behave, play well with other animals like dogs, and even can be walked on a leash without complaining( mostly)!
