Who do you call when: There’s a big pothole in the street in front of your house. Another country refuses to buy products that are being manufactured in your country. You want to start and incorporate a business. A major jobs program is needed to put unemployed people back to work. Trash is not being picked up in your neighborhood.

Water Rights – for example, the Colorado River Other issues like air pollution, drunk driving laws, etc.

Young Voices with Action Often times the feds, states and cities conflict with one another.
The federal government wants to protect voting rights for everyone, but some states want to maintain the “right” to discriminate. States decide how schools can be funded, but different school districts would like to do it their own way. A city wants to raise its minimum wage, but the state won’t let it do it. A city wants to build a new residential development, but the federal government says that it is protected land and must be used to protect an endangered specie.
