What is Community Gardening?
According to Marin Master Gardeners, "a community garden is any piece of land gardened by a group of people, utilizing either individual or shared plots on private or public land".

Community Gardening Builds Bridges
Community gardens, bring in people from different races, cultures, ethnics, beliefs, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Community members, engage with one another, by taking care of the garden that is or can be, private or public commons.

Finding solutions to community catastrophes Crime Prevention Opportunities to meet neighbors Get to know your local law enforcement When you know the people around your community, you are less likely to commit a crime against them and prevent others from doing such acts Cultural Opportunities Opportunity to grow crops that are not locally available Exchange cultural ideas. Youth Learn how to grow crops Learn from the elders Learn the importance of community leadership
