We will be having a prayer test on the Our Father next week. Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Progress Reports will be published online on Tuesday 1/23. Please make sure to log in to SchoolSpeak to view and sign your child’s report card. If you need help or do not have internet access at home, please contact Mrs. Kolb in the office!
We are LOVING getting to know our new author—Kevin Henkes!!! This week we read two of his books: Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse and Chrysanthemum. The children really enjoyed both books. We will be taking the AR tests on Kevin Henkes books as we go.
I will begin marking progress toward mastering addition and subtraction facts on the 3rd quarter interim, 2/12 reports. A good benchmark for Xtramath scores would be for your child to be close to 40/100 right now, 60/100 by the end of 3rd quarter and 85 or more/100 by the end of 4th quarter. Make sure practicing math facts is a part of your child’s weekly homework routine!
