Set out expectations, and roles of agencies Clear comparative information about services Strengthen user feedback systems Requirements to maintain marketplace Stop ‘contracting by the minute’ Support continuity through provider failure

6 Dignity and respect in care services
New code of conduct and minimum standards for care workers More training for the care profession, with care apprenticeships at 100,000 by 2017 Chief Social Worker appointed by end of 2012

7 Control of Care and Support
Legislation for personal budgets Improve independent advice on finances for care plans Develop in pilots Direct Payments for those in residential care Invest £100m in 2013/14 and £200m in 2014/15 in integrated health and social care support
