Remember to sign planners and Leader Bucks nightly
Dec , 2018 Jones/Stark Spelling Lists Sorting activities will continue this week prior to the spelling quiz. Grammar Students are using a mentor sentence to analyze, imitate, and apply in their own writing. Mathematics This week in GOMATH, we will focus on the following: Lesson 4.6-Model Multiplication of Decimals Lesson 4.7-Place the Decimal Point in Decimal Multiplication Lesson 4.8-Multiply Decimals with Zeros in the Product Thursday-Converting Customary Measurement TEST Friday- Chapter 4 Assessment Science-Students will work in groups to explore the science involved in the making of items used in colonial life. Social Studies We will complete our study of Jamestown by finishing the novel, Blood on the River. Students will participate in an archaeological simulation on Friday of the remains at Jamestown. Costume guidelines for Dec. 14th have been sent home! Reading / Writing This week we will finish our class novel study and work on independent reading to complete the reading challenge. Reading challenge forms are due by Monday, Dec. 10th. Reminders Remember to sign planners and Leader Bucks nightly Notes from the Teacher December Holidays are from December 20 until January 4th. School resumes for students on Monday, January 7th. Upcoming Events: Mon., Dec. 10 – Fri., Dec. 14- Colonial Week! Monday, Dec. 10- Reading Challenge forms due Friday, Dec. 14- Colonial Day (students in costumes)- the dance (Virginia Reel) will be from 1:00-1:45 in the multipurpose room. Join us if you can!
