Create a cutting board by gluing strips of wood together and shaping Or
Create intarsia by gluing shaped pieces of wood together.

-Square and Rip different colored wood strips of even thickness.
-Glue side by side with grain going in the same direction.
-Plane to an even thickness
-Create a unique exterior shape to the cutting board.
-Use router to create decorative edges.

11. Intarsia
This is a harder version of the same project. You must cut out pieces to create an overall picture with no gaps between the pieces of wood. No table saw necessary.
Plane multicolored wood to a specific thickness.
Cut shapes out to fit like a jigsaw puzzle with no gaps.
Glue pieces together along edges.
Use router and files to create a decorative finish.

Keep to simple shapes and designs. Create as few shapes as is necessary.
