Advanced Theatre – 1st Semester…
Friday, Sept. 7th Disney Performing Arts Workshops – all tickets have been ordered at this time – please pay through the ASB online store “Drama” link by September 1st. Potential for School time performances during Rallies and Assemblies – short (2-3 minutes) First semester focus – Prep for Charlie Brown Christmas Friday, November 2nd – no school Monday, November 12th – no school Nov – Thanksgiving break Tentative Set and Prop workshops: Wednesday, 11/7 and Thursday, 11/15 5:30-8pm Additional set and prop (as needed): Friday, 11/30 and Friday, 12/7 5:30-8pm Charlie Brown Christmas – Tentative Dates – Tuesday 12/18 and Thursday 12/19 potential school day performances on Friday 12/20 (depending on ASB/Admin scheduling for the day) Dec. 24th – January 14th – Winter Break Post Performance Reflections - Assigned after each performance event.

What else is going on? Thursday, April 25th DMMS Annual Shakespeare Night – “An Evening with the Bard” 6:30-9:30 pm MPR We will be selling advanced tickets again this year and seeking reservations for themed table sponsorships!!! Saturday, April 27th – Combined JV and Middle School Shakespeare Festival – location TBD – We will participate CHAPERONES NEEDED 1 adult chaperone for each competing event group. All students must be supervised at all times. Tuesday, May 28th and Thursday, May 30th tentative dates for End of Year Student Showcase performances 6:30-9:30pm Extra credit – Seeing a live theatre performance during the semester is a great way to support other theatre programs and earn extra credit. I will keep you posted on extra credit live theatre opportunities in the area as I am made aware of them. 5pts for each performance attended. Participation in fundraising activities as they arise throughout the year. Please…check the webpage regularly for updated information and reminders

Volunteer Sign-Ups Volunteer Coordinator (Oversees the putting together of volunteers for various events - includes coordinating ticket sales and concession table volunteers for events) Fundraising Organizer Costume/props Coordinator/Stage Parent Building/painting sets (moveable flats/backdrops, etc.) Transporting set pieces to school and back again Shakespeare Night Coordinator Disneyland/Shakespeare Festival Chaperones Cast Party and End of year theatre party coordinator Videographer/photographer Stage helpers (Supervising/assisting actors during performances) If you can help in any of these roles, please sign up tonight or me of your interest!
