Choosing the most relevant Conformity Assessment Standard
New Work Item underway
To provide guidance to scheme owners, regulators ad others on how to chose between ISO/IEC and ISO/IEC as the best fit standard for a new scheme.
Task Force Group set up to provide first draft of guidance.
Follow-up, in coordination with the EA Inspection Committee to expand the guidance to also cover ISO/IEC

Workshop event at Vilnius
As a first step towards the proposed guidance; delegates were divided into groups and asked to consider: -
• What are the key aspects that define Management Systems certification?
• What are the key aspects that define Product/process/service certification?
• What do we need to consider when deciding if a scheme or scope area should be covered by ISO/IEC or ISO/IEC 17065?
