TRUST GOD MORE; INCREASE OUR RELIANCE ON HIM. SAY "NO" TO THE DEVIL AND "YES" TO THE FATHER. – Amen!!!!

6 Ex 17:8-13 Amalek came and fought Israel at Rephidim
Ex 17:8-13  Amalek came and fought Israel at Rephidim. Moses ordered Joshua: “Select some men for us and go out and fight Amalek. Tomorrow I will take my stand on top of the hill holding God’s staff.”

7 10-13 Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek
10-13 Joshua did what Moses ordered in order to fight Amalek. And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went to the top of the hill. It turned out that whenever Moses raised his hands, Israel was winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, Amalek was winning.

8 But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him
But Moses’ hands got tired. So they got a stone and set it under him. He sat on it and Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on each side. So his hands remained steady until the sun went down. Joshua defeated Amalek and its army in battle.

11 Job 1:1-3 This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. 2 He had seven sons and three daughters, 3 and he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys, and had a large number of servants.  He was the greatest man among all the people of the East.

12 V6 One day the angels[a] came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” 8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job?There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” 9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” 12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”

13 20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head
20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship  21 and said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb,     and naked I will depart.[c] The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away;     may the name of the Lord be prised.” 22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

14 Heb 12:1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

15 Heb 12:1-3  The Message 1-3 Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because He never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.

16 And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God
And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!

17 TRUST GOD MORE; INCREASE OUR RELIANCE ON HIM.
Spend time in: Power up our lives TRUST GOD MORE; INCREASE OUR RELIANCE ON HIM. SAY "NO" TO THE DEVIL AND "YES" TO THE FATHER. Amen!!!!
