3. IGIC Orthophotography Workgroup
This group was responsible for the 2005 Statewide Orthophotography Project.
Recognizing the critical need for up-to-date photos, the Workgroup is developing a PROGRAM to update Indiana's orthos on a regular rotating basis.
The work includes developing: planning documents with technical specifications, a Request for Proposal, and documents to educate the public and elected officials on the benefits of the program.

Orthophotography has the geometric characteristics of a map and the image qualities of a photograph. These qualities allow for:
