The section known as “Guide for Interpreting” is meant to give the reader background on the authors of various literary pieces.
#3: Throughout the year, I will allow EC readings from a section in each unit called “Guide for Interpreting.” Describe what the purpose of this section seems to be in one sentence:

7. Poetry Writing – Assignment #2: all about you
The assignment: write a poem about yourself to demonstrate your ability to write introspectively and descriptively.
Model of mine – note the format of title and repetition of “I am from…” for each stanza
Groupings of lines – stanzas: each “stanza” has 3-4 lines
A= 6 or more stanzas, 3-4 lines per stanza
B= 5 stanzas, 3-4 lines per stanza
C= 4 stanzas, 3 lines per stanza
D= 3 stanzas, 3 lines per stanza
