You should complete and distribute your tool by 5 p.m. Wednesday
afternoon unless Smith Travel has delayed the distribution of the
weekly STR report, in the case complete your tool on the day the report is distributed.
Once completed, send your weekly tool to your revenue team.

6. Data Tabs
You will need your most recent weekly and monthly STR report saved to your computer before you proceed.

7. Importing Data You have two options to import your data into the tool.
Option 1: Copy in STR Data
Step 1: Click on the “Copy in STR Data” icon
Step 2: You will get a pop up window asking you to browse your files for your STR report, once you select the file hit ‘Open”
Step 3: Once you open the file, your STR data will automatically populate into the STR analyzer.

For this option, simply open your tab in your weekly and monthly STR report and copy then paste in your analyzer
Whichever option you use, make sure you copy the correct
data into the correct tab. You will need to import data from both your Weekly
Glance and your Monthly Comp tabs.

Your weekly and running 28 days STR data is now color coded based on your index and YOY growth.

11. STR Weekly Glance Results
This section of your Weekly Glance Results will give you a snapshot analysis of how you performed last year, compared to the comp set and where you are headed in your performance.
Important
In the highlighted boxes, you will add your STR commentary for each section. It is very important that you paint a picture of your performance with your commentary rather than repeat numbers that are already listed. We want to know why you are down 35% in occupancy to last year or why you are up 20% in rate this year? Did you have business last year that did not return? Have you replaced the business?
